Transition University: Fruit Tree Planting on campus

Transition University brings you this practical hands on event making our campus edible!

We will be planting some fruit trees on campus so that their fruits can be enjoyed in years to come by students and staff at the university. The trees will also be used as part of the Bardon Grange Project for teaching students and the wider local community about how to care for and grow fruit trees, encouraging people to learn essential skills required for a relocalised food system.

The planting will take place on two sites – one will be on a small patch of green between Lyddon Terrace and Clarendon Road, and the other will be St George's Field behind Henry Price halls of residence.

The planting will take place a couple of  hours and will be celebrated with cake,  Leeds grown apple juice and music
Some apple juice will be available but please bring vegan cake and other refreshments along for all to enjoy!

So come and get involved with some digging and planting on Friday afternoon!
